I am a multidisciplinary artist with a practice rooted in femininity, memory, family, and perception. Through material exploration and narrative, I explore the intimacy of the audience and identity, through both physical and digital processes.
In my works, I intentionally feature personal subjects, inviting the viewer to reflect on themselves and question how and why they view the work the way they do. I disrupt realism by augmenting what is expected, mirroring how memory works through disorientation.
Exploring these concepts, my current work focuses on the act of saying goodbye, focusing on elements of childhood, family, and longing. Viewers are invited to connect through perception and feeling, creating wonder around the chosen elements. Loss, both personal and collective, moves through the installation, carried by moments of comfort.
I am an Ottawa-based artist, born in Almonte, Ontario. Raised in Almonte, I moved to the city of Ottawa, where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa.
